We are looking for a Freezer Coordinator to join our Sample Management department in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

In this critical and integral role you will be responsible for our freezers which store our samples, ensuring they are well maintained and all associated paperwork is correct along with completion of sample handling work. This role requires significant coordination work and there may also be the opportunity to support with client audits.

Duties Include:

• Performing any combination of sample management and/or archive tasks, including labeling, receipt, transferring, tracking, inventory, archival, shipping, and disposal of samples and/or materials

• Sample accession core tasks, including box opening, inventory/labeling, receipt/store, and pulls/returns

• Using tracking systems as appropriate to maintain sample and study integrity

• Accurate protocol and relevant documentation interpretation (i.e., Sample Analysis Outline, client paperwork)

• Document and communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel and leads problem solving.  Submits audit responses to QAU inspections as needed

• Planning, prioritizing individual and team workloads and responsibilities  Assisting with reporting of metrics

• Leading or participating in process improvement initiatives (local, regional, and global)

• Ensuring adherence to company Global/Regional/Local SOP?s as appropriate

• Competent with environmental system monitoring as appropriate

• Maintaining storage units

Education:

• A-levels or equivalent, preferably with a science subject. Experience may be substituted for education

Skills/ Experience:

• Previous experience handling samples in a regulated environment preferred however any experience in a laboratory or warehouse environment will be welcome

• Excellent communication and time management skills

• Collaborative individual with great attention to detail

• Basic mathematical skills

• I.T proficient

Note: Overtime may be available on a voluntary basis and there is also an expectation to be a part of an on-call rota approximately 1 in 4 weeks for which you will be compensated for in addition to the basic salary
