Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Audiologist to join our dynamic team. This role is based in Edinburg/McAllen, TX; however, the selected candidate must be willing to train in Corpus Christi, TX, with accommodations and mileage reimbursement provided.
As part of the Driscoll family, you will provide life-changing care to children by diagnosing and treating hearing disorders. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, and play a vital role in supporting the auditory health of South Texas’ youngest residents.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform evaluations, including VRA, play, and conventional audiometry.
Administer natural sleep ABRs and sedated ABRs in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Fit and manage amplification devices, including hearing aids, bone-conduction hearing devices, and cochlear implants.
Provide education to families and professionals on hearing sensitivity, auditory processing, and management strategies for hearing loss.
Participate in ENT clinics and provide anesthesia support as needed.
Maintain detailed clinical documentation and comply with the newborn hearing screening program requirements.
Actively participate in team meetings, process improvement initiatives, and community outreach.
Ensure all audiology equipment is calibrated and in good working condition.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or doctoral degree (Au.D. or Ph.D.) in Audiology.
Current Texas Licensure as an Audiologist.
General pediatric experience, including outpatient diagnostics, inpatient support, and ENT clinic exposure, is highly preferred.
CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
Strong flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic environment.
