is seeking a Hospitalist to join their team at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois

Alton Memorial Hospital is a full-service acute-care hospital with 158 beds and over 392 physicians.  They offer a variety of inpatient and outpatient services including surgery (3,366 in 2021), medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care (Siteman Cancer Network), therapy and 24 hour emergency and ambulance services.

Alton Memorial is a training site for Family Medicine residents through SIU School of Medicine.  And they are a member of BJC Healthcare, one of the nation's largest nonprofit health care organizations with annual net revenues over 6 billion and more than 30,000 employees in great St. Louis area.

Role Purpose

Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.
