Come join our dedicated and caring team of professionals as a Medical Assistant III. With guidance and direction from our staff R.N. and L.V.N., the Medical Assistant will:
Assist clinical staff at our primary care clinic in the delivery of health care to our clinic population.
Interview patients, take vital signs, room patients for providers, and record services in patients' charts.
Perform phlebotomy and tests for hemoglobin and one-touch blood sugar levels.
Collect, process, and send paperwork and samples for laboratory processing.
Perform in-clinic procedures for visual acuity, audiometry, baby sound check, etc.
Provide immunizations, nebulizer/breathing treatments, Tylenol and antibiotics as ordered by our providers and per protocol.
Assist with inventory maintenance of clinical stock and supplies, and order as needed.
Provide pregnancy and contraceptive counseling.
Assist with exams and translate between Spanish and English for providers as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned and within legal scope of practice.

Salary range: $28.06 - $37.02 Hourly
Qualifications
Required:
Documented evidence of completed Medical Assisting training and Medical Assistant Certificate.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)/CPR card and Phlebotomy Certification.
Effective English and Spanish communication skills.
Ability to perform phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
Skill in administering injections and immunizations.
Knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of general medical and laboratory procedures.
Ability to work collaboratively, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact in a professional manner with persons of various social, cultural, economic and educational backgrounds.
Ability to float to other facilities within Los Angeles County as needed (includes offsite work with our outreach team).
