SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under limited supervision, the Electromechanical Technician maintains and repairs the following equipment: refrigerator equipment, air conditioning units, laundry equipment, Central Service equipment, Patient Care equipment, vehicles, Lab equipment and other equipment throughout the hospital.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- EPA Refrigeration Certification required
- Training on at least one type of equipment they are required to repair, ex. sterilizers
- Requires two years of experience, certification preferred, in at least one of the following related trades; bed repair, sterilizer repair, ice machine repair, or med gas certified
