The role you’ll contribute:

Coordinates and conducts Cardiological Services for Stress Testing whether chemical or traditional testing and Tilt Table Testing per individual Cardiologist protocol. Conducts clinical assessments and educates pts. per protocol. Responsible for assessment of lab values and clinical symptoms before, during and after stress testing. Responsible for determination of mechanical versus chemical stress and which chemical agent. ARNP can act under his/her own license to perform test without the presence of a Licensed Cardiologist.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Reviews pt. lab results and pt. symptoms prior to scheduling stress testing.

·         Coordinates patient scheduling as to promote decreased length of stay.

·         Coordinates with Nuclear Medicine as to available doses, pt. weight and kind of stress test needed.

·         Maintains professional relationship with ordering Cardiologist authorizing permission for ARNP to perform study.

·         Facilitates physician use of ARNP services for the completion of both Stress Testing and Tilt Table Testing.

·         Demonstrates professional leadership qualities through positive interactions with administrative staff, health care team professionals, pts and pt. families.

·         Supports education by promoting and identifying in-service needs and continuing education programs.

·         Demonstrates the ability to assess and interpret data specific to individual pt. care.

·         Prioritizes pt. studies in a timely manner by physician request.

·         Facilitates care for uncomplicated patients in order to decrease overall length of stay.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 

·         Master’s Degree, ARNP

·         2 years critical care experience, 1-year Cardiac Testing experience

 

 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

·         State of Florida ARNP Licensure
