Professional Fee Abstractor
The Professional Fee Abstractor will provide research for the department responding to questions regarding the assignment of correct codes. This position will also be responsible for the coding of complicated medical documentation and procedures which requires clinical knowledge and education. The coding process will use physician notes and the researched data to properly assign codes to all services performed utilizing appropriate ICD-10 CM, CPT, HCPCS codes and modifiers. Participation in coding training and education is also required as well as maintaining yearly certification as a Certified Professional Coder.
