SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the department director, provides quality speech pathology services though evaluation of patients and provides the prescribed treatment to restore function and prevent disability. Speech Language Pathologist primary to outpatient care for adult and pediatric clients to perform SLP evaluations and treatments in an outpatient clinical environment that includes physical and occupational therapy services. Schedule options are Monday-Friday as 4-10 hour days or 5-8 hour days, and can be discussed at the time of interview/hire. Ideal applicants will have a wide range of experience in working with conditions including, but not limited to cognition, voice, dysphagia, head and neck cancer, developmental delays in speech / language, including services for dyslexia and autistic children. Employees will be cross-trained to support in our acute care environment for occasional weekend day coverage and holiday support. This coverage is less than 10% of the annual schedule. EXPERIENCE: 2 years hospital experience preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) EDUCATION: Required: Masters - Speech Language Pathology
