Cayman Hearing Center is the premier audiology clinic in the Caribbean, dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered hearing healthcare. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Audiologist to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services for patients of all ages, with an emphasis on delivering a luxury, high-end patient experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in pediatric and adult audiology, auditory processing evaluations, tinnitus management, and hearing aid fittings.
Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Diagnostic Testing: Conducts audiological evaluations for children (birth and up) and adults, including:
Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA)
Play Audiometry
Pure Tone Audiometry
Speech Audiometry
Immittance Testing (Tympanometry and Acoustic Reflexes)
Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)(unsedated and sedated ABRs, including ABRs in the OR)
Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) testing
Central Auditory Processing Evaluations
Hearing Aid and Assistive Device Services:
Performs and provides clinical management for hearing aid evaluations, verification, fitting, and dispensing.
Orders and dispenses hearing aids and FM systems.
Manages all hearing aid repairs and services.
Patient-Centered Counseling & Education:
Provides test results, recommendations, and appropriate referrals to patients, parents, referring physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Educates patients and families on hearing loss, treatment options, and communication strategies.
Collaborates with physicians, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Clinical Documentation & Compliance:
Obtains relevant case histories and maintains accurate patient records.
Demonstrates proficiency in navigating the EMR system for documentation, report writing, and billing.
Completes required reporting forms to maintain compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
Specialty Services:
Performs tinnitus evaluations and counseling as part of our tinnitus management program.
Participates in the clinic’s Music Audiology program, offering custom hearing protection and in-ear monitors to musicians and performers.
Other Duties:
Contributes to ongoing patient education initiatives and community outreach programs.
Assists with clinical research or protocol development as needed.
Supports the clinic’s commitment to excellence in hearing healthcare through participation in professional development and continuing education.
Education: Master’s degree in Audiology or Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) required.
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
Experience in pediatric audiology, VRA, play audiometry, ABR/ASSR, OAE, auditory processing evaluations, and hearing aid fittings is strongly preferred.
Experience in tinnitus management and/or music audiology is a plus.
Experience working in a private practice or high-end healthcare setting is desirable.
Technical Expertise:
Strong proficiency in diagnostic audiology, hearing aid technology, and counseling techniques.
Familiarity with EMR systems, documentation, and billing procedures.
Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and varying communication needs.
