SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Lead a dynamic and mission-focused team as the Medicine Pharmacy Coordinator at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. This role offers the unique opportunity to oversee our medicine clinical pharmacy team, ensuring optimal patient care and professional development. You will be responsible for schedule development, time-off approvals, and participation in our administrative call rotation, while also engaging directly in patient care through interdisciplinary rounding. Approximately 60% of your time will be dedicated to staffing and patient care, with the remaining 40% focused on administrative duties. You?ll also contribute to the education of future pharmacists by assisting with the precepting of pharmacy learners, including residents and students, and have the opportunity to participate in vital research projects. Collaboratively engage with peers and interdisciplinary colleagues to develop and implement initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes. This role requires staffing every sixth weekend (day or evening) and coverage for one major and one minor holiday per calendar year. We seek a candidate with leadership experience, a positive and team-focused attitude, and excellent interpersonal skills, capable of thriving in a rapidly changing healthcare environment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D required.
Pennsylvania registration in Pharmacy or eligibility required.
Three (3) years of related experience required.
