This is a Remote position.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for overseeing, managing, and supporting the enterprise eDiscovery program, including related tools, and processes, necessary to ensure the enterprise can satisfy its legal obligations. In coordination with legal counsel, develops and maintains eDiscovery strategy to address identification, collection, processing, review, and production in response to electronic preservation or eDiscovery requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
Develop policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the eDiscovery Program alignment with industry acceptable standards and requirements.
Assess eDiscovery Program needs and collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies to govern eDiscovery activities.
Coordinating and managing technical tasks with internal staff and external partners as needed for eDiscovery.
Ensure that eDiscovery Program policies and processes comply with legal and organizational requirements.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on eDiscovery policy, standards, strategies, and processes as appropriate and ensure sound principles are reflected in the organization's mission, vision, and goals.
Reviews/assessments/audits of eDiscovery Program effectiveness and adjusting as necessary to address identified gaps (continuous improvement and related metrics).
Establish and maintain communication channels with stakeholders.
Analyze, identify and recommend support cost saving opportunities.
Develop and implement best practice strategies for eDiscovery management, legal hold, retention, and destruction.
Define and integrate current and future mission environments into the eDiscovery Program.
Coordinate with internal and external attorneys to implement appropriate preservation holds, data collection, document review, and production methodology.
Issue preservation holds, provide consultative support to named custodians, manage preservation hold compliance.
Identification, preservation, collection, and data production of eDiscovery data.
Management of assets under a preservation hold, including documenting, monitoring, inventorying, and tracking.
Monitor and evaluate eDiscovery compliance including the development and reporting of performance measures.
Perform validation steps, comparing actual results with expected results and analyze the differences to identify risk exposures.
Periodic review of tools and processes to ensure they are meeting objectives and to identify areas for improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Bachelor Degree or equivalent
Ten (10) plus years of hands experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
Degree in a legal, or technology discipline is preferred.
ACEDS, EDEC, or certified paralegal preferred
Knowledge and understanding of the EDRM
Experience executing and managing legal hold
3 plus years of experience with NUIX Workbench
eDiscovery Project Management experience a plus
