Position Summary

This position coordinates, facilitates, reviews and revises Respiratory Care practices, orientations, protocol programs and ongoing education in conjunction with departmental leadership. This position provides and promotes clinical excellence in order to provide safe quality care and acts as a clinical resource to the department and health care teams. This position works in collaboration with the leadership team by identifying employee skill competencies, evaluating best practices, assisting in performance improvement teams and staying aware of emerging industry trends and standards.

Education

• Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program. (Required)

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical respiratory care experience in a hospital environment with one (1) year in pediatric/neonatal respiratory care. (Required)

Certifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. (Required)
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). (Required)
• Current State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license. (Required)
• American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) membership. (Preferred)
• Current PALS certification. (Preferred)
• Current NRP certification. (Preferred)
• Current Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty credential (NPS) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). (Preferred)
