An opportunity exists for a CT Technologist I at Penn State Health - Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. They will be responsible for Performing a variety of standardized imaging procedures, for setting up and adjusting related equipment and devices, and for maintaining related records under the direction of the Senior Imaging Staff.
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs standardized imaging procedures ensuring accurate imaging as per defined protocols or under the direction of the radiologist/physician
Ensures proper operation of the equipment safely while maintaining regulatory standards during all procedures
Performs patient imaging by interacting with the patient using professionalism, courtesy, and safety guidelines
Maintains the area, supplies, and equipment in a neat, orderly, and prepared manner; performs room and equipment disinfection procedures
Responsible for daily equipment calibration; reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments and/or repair of equipment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography Program or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Program (NMTCB)(CT)
Graduate of ARRT Radiography Program Graduate:
Must pass the radiography ARRT registry within six (6) months of employment
Must pass the CT ARRT registry within two (2) years of employment
Must pass NMTCB(CT) registry within six (6) months of employment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
CT experience preferred.
