BSWH is seeking a licensed psychologist to join our integrated primary care team. The psychologist will work collaboratively with primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based behavioral health services. The ideal candidate is skilled in brief, solution-focused interventions and passionate about promoting whole-person health in a fast-paced clinical setting.
We are looking for a pledged team player with a favorable work/ training history. The ideal candidate should be focused on quality, and be able to effectively partner with referring physicians, agencies and other professionals to provide optimum patient care within our award-winning integrated health care system.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care includes individual therapy, family therapy and warm hand-offs from the PCP team member.
Provide brief, evidence-based assessments and interventions for a wide range of mental health, behavioral, and psychosocial concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety, chronic disease management, substance use, sleep difficulties).
Conduct risk assessments and crisis interventions as needed.
Address lifestyle and behavioral factors impacting physical health conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, obesity, smoking cessation).
Collaboration with Care Team:
Partner with primary care providers to develop integrated treatment plans addressing patients? medical and behavioral health needs.
Provide real-time consultation and recommendations to healthcare providers regarding psychosocial concerns.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance care coordination.
Patient Education and Advocacy:
Offer psychoeducation to patients and families on mental health conditions, stress management, and coping strategies.
Facilitate referrals to specialty behavioral health care or community resources when indicated.
Program Development and Quality Improvement:
Contribute to the development of integrated care protocols and workflows.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral health services within the clinic.
Provide input on population health initiatives to promote mental health and wellness.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate Degree in Medicine (Ph.D or Psy.D) in Psychology from an APA accredited program.
Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
