The role you’ll contribute:

  Assists director in overseeing day-to-day department operations. Provides speech therapy evaluations and treatments to patients to facilitate and maximize functioning level as prescribed by physician. Includes the identification, prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in physical function, psychosocial abilities, activities of daily living and health status resulting from injury, diseases or other causes.

• Assists director/manager in overseeing daily operations of department
• Serves as a resource to others in area of responsibility and expertise
• Troubleshoots and addresses questions from staff and others in completing daily activities, redirects or resolves issues timely
• Offers suggestions to improve services and viable solutions to resolve problems. Follows up with director as appropriate if pattern or procedural change is identified.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Minimum qualifications:
• Master’s level graduate of a Speech/Language Pathology program and a valid Florida state license. 
• Three years clinical experience required.
• Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association. 
• Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and current automobile insurance since driving between facilities is a requirement of this position.

• Preferred qualifications: 
• Dysphasia assessment and treatments and interpretation of video fluoroscopic studies are preferred.
