The role you’ll contribute:
The Manager has 24-hour accountability, authority and responsibility for quality of services, operational management and human resource management for an assigned environment(s). The Manager fosters the integration of the organization’s vision and values, and accomplishes the mission and strategic plan through an accountable work team. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Manager collaborates with patients/customers, families, physicians, administration and associates to meet customer needs and expectations in a patient focused and healing environment.
The Manager uses critical thinking and demonstrates leadership skills in assuring that appropriate care is carried out for specific patient population(s). The Manager is responsible for promoting team work with physicians and personnel and all members of the health care team. The Manager is responsible for establishing the tone of the work environment and insuring that all personnel are competent, adhere to all policies of the department and organization and adhere to all behavior standards of Shawnee Mission Health.
The Nursing Development Manager is accountable for developing, growing and maintaining a ANCC accredited program/model defining competency assessment, monitoring and measurement for nursing professionals meeting regulatory requirements, outcome goals and professional growth and development needs.
