SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for routine operations tasks within the Data Center, including: performing system back-ups, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining IT Operations consoles and systems/servers including interfaces, major IT systems, network connectivity, clinical system jobs and printers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 98%. Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
Observe the operation of the console panel, storage devices, printers, and the console printer to monitor and control systems/services and determine the point of equipment or program failure and the next steps to escalate the issue/failure.
Utilize the Operations Documentation to troubleshoot and/or resolve the system/service issue/failure.
Manipulate job controls according to standard procedures and if necessary, rearrange the sequence of job steps to continue operations when individual units of the system malfunction.
Analyze and resolve input and output problems such as misprinted material, incorrect data, and incorrect scheduling.
Work independently on most phases of computer operations with the assistance of the Operations Documentation for various systems, servers, and processes.
Work under the guidance of the IT Technical Support Center Manager for the most advanced areas.
Periodically review and revise Operations Documentation and Operations Shift Schedules to assure accurate, clear, and concise information and processing.
Follow Daily Auditing procedures to assure that the daily jobs and processes have been monitored and processed.
Maintain operating records such as machine performance and production reports and schedules.
Provide Help Desk support on the Help Desk ACD (Automated Call Directory) queue 24 X 7 to include day/evening/night shifts, holidays and weekends to provide support for customer/system issues, outages, questions and request
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Either (a) Associate's Degree plus one additional year of related experience or (b) Three years total of related experience.
