On behalf of the Division of Craniofacial Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM) and Seattle Children’s Hospital (SCH), CareerPhysician, LLC, the national leader in executive search and leadership development in Academic Child Health, is pleased to announce a national search initiated to identify candidates for the Medical Director of the Craniofacial Genetics Program at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Clinical Associate or Clinical Professor to provide both craniofacial pediatric and clinical genetic services.
The Craniofacial Center at Seattle Children’s Hospital specializes in the treatment of cleft lip and palate, Robin sequence, craniosynostosis, craniofacial microsomia, and many other rare and complex craniofacial conditions. The center has become one of the most comprehensive craniofacial centers in North America with a multidisciplinary craniofacial team of over 50 healthcare providers and staff from 14 specialty areas that provide all aspects of care for children with craniofacial conditions.
Opportunity Highlights: • This unique opportunity includes the leadership of a genetics program focused on the diagnosis and management of children with craniofacial conditions in both inpatient & outpatient environments. • The most comprehensive 22q program providing care for children with craniofacial conditions in the United States. • Opportunity for involvement with the SCH Partners in African Cleft Training (PACT), an international cleft lip and palate training program to improve and expand access to cleft lip and palate care in sub-Saharan Africa. Qualifications The successful candidate must have an MD, or DO, or MD/PhD combined (or foreign equivalent), be board eligible or board certified in Pediatrics and Genetics and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
