Overview
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
The security division of the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Department of Public Safety concentrates on the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff within the hospital and on campus. The department provides field officers, Bike and mobile patrol, investigators, and a communication unit for monitoring alarm systems and dispatching officers to service and emergency calls. All officers are required to complete annual training that focuses on health care security.

Role Purpose
Responsible for implementation, maintenance and direction of assigned system applications. This position is the main liaison with users of the system. This position is responsible for coordination of audit/maintenance procedures system-wide, new installs/upgrades, system enhancements, consistent methodology, system-wide reporting and user training and assistance. (Systems may include HBO Trendstar, Cornerstone OnDemand, or other applications for system-wide use.)
Responsibilities
Plan effective implementation, integration, upgrades, expansions etc. of designated systems at BJC including related tracking, checklists, etc.
Schedules and coordinates upgrades as needed.
Coordinates the development and maintenance of system-wide cost allocation methodology.
Develop and maintain system-wide reporting process in conjunction with Senior Management at each facility; assist in development of ad hoc reports for system initiatives
Coordinate and maintain security profiles and assignments, system maintenance and data audit policies and procedures and appropriate training for all levels of users
