Position Overview: We invite applications for a full-time Assistant Clinical Professor in our Audiology Department. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical audiology services, mentor Au.D. students, and contribute to a culture of patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a full range of audiological services, including:
Patient and family counseling on audiometric results and recommendations
Hearing aid services: evaluation, fitting, counseling, dispensing, and repairs
Refer patients to appropriate specialists and resources as needed
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
Supervise and educate Au.D. students, ensuring high standards of clinical competency
Teach courses within the Au.D. program as agreed upon
Collaborate with the Clinic Director and program leadership to:
Implement and uphold student education policies
Develop patient service protocols
Participate in marketing and outreach initiatives
Engage in faculty meetings and contribute to program development

Qualifications:
Minimum:
Au.D. or Ph.D. in Audiology, or a master's degree with equivalent experience prior to the Au.D. implementation
Clinical experience with a patient-centered, evidence-based approach
Current California Audiologist license or eligibility to obtain one within three months of hire
Preferred:
California Dispensing Audiologist License
Experience in various audiology specialties (e.g., evoked potentials, balance function management, tinnitus management, pediatric audiology)
Proficiency with major hearing aid manufacturers
Experience supervising audiology students
Familiarity with insurance billing and patient management software
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Pacific's doctor of audiology (AuD) program is the only three-year accelerated program in California. Students with a bachelor's degree in any major and an interest in the profession of audiology are encouraged to apply. While in the program, students will gain rich and diverse clinical experiences through the onsite audiology clinic, nearby medical and audiology centers as well as the audiology clinic in Stockton. This program is offered at Pacific's new state-of-the-art campus in the SoMa district of San Francisco.
