The role you’ll contribute:
Under general direction from the Clinical Engineering department, the Senior Imaging Equipment Engineer is responsible for managing the care and service of Imaging Equipment in one or more of the following modalities XR, CT, MR, UL, NM, SPECT, MI, PET, Radiation Therapy, Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular & Surgery.
The successful candidate will aid the Clinical Engineering Department and AdventHealth in the developing resources to achieve growth and reduce contract line with the OEM. A successful candidate will help develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with the departments they serve by prioritizing customer satisfaction and equipment up-time. The Senior Imaging Equipment Engineer will utilize the hospital performance improvement processes to assist AdventHealth in reaching the goal of developing a successful In-House Imaging Service Program.
The candidate will participate in and assist with meeting and maintaining all regulatory requirements within their assigned areas of responsibility.The successful candidate will help establish and maintain ethical working relationships and develop good rapport with Hospital and Department Leaders across AdventHealth.
The Senior Imaging Equipment Engineer will meet with customer departments and team members to ensure departmental Safety & Service Standards are maintained (ie. Department Rounding). A successful candidate will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility for maintaining ethical relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Experience troubleshooting, replacing PMT assemblies, X-ray & CT Tubes, High & Low Energy Collimators, Detectors, Detector Channel Boards, HV Tanks & Cables, Power Supplies, Image Intensifiers, Cameras, Collimators, Positioner Cabinets, X-ray Generators, Acquisition Modules, Probes, & Chillers and calibrating system post repair to ensure the safety of care teams and patients required.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex Image Quality issues required.
Experience replacing and calibrating MR & Gradient Coils, Gradient Amplifiers, and Cold Heads preferred.Experience ramping, shimming, and installing MR systems & and servicing cryogen systems preferred. Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex Image Quality issues with MR systems preferred.Experience working with GE and Siemens magnets is preferred. Expert mechanical service skills are required.
Proven ability to solve complex Hardware and Software issues by dealing with a variety of multivariable situations and equations.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Knowledge of Policies/Procedures/Protocols in one or more of the following modalities XR, CT, MR, UL, NM, SPECT, MI, PET, Radiation Therapy, Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular & Surgery.
Knowledge of equipment and vendors in one or more of the following modalities XR, CT, MR, UL, NM, SPECT, MI, PET, Radiation Therapy, Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular & Surgery.
Ability and desire to learn and master new tasks.
