The role you’ll contribute:
The Special functions coordinator oversees and\or coordinates all catered event timing, staging, and production such as hot and cold food preparation, ordering linens, decorations, and other supplies as needed with internal and external support staff in order to provide high quality events that appear seamless to the customer. Must offer world class service by interacting with customers as the expert to guide the entire planning process of the event. Coordinates and participates in other event sales and promotions that will increase revenue. Responsible for attractively arranging and maintaining the neatness and organization of the food buffet table, dining tables and banquet room. Meets all production/service deadlines and demonstrate cost conscious behaviors that include timely and appropriate event billing to the clients. Ensures that sanitation, safety, cleanliness, food storage and food handling standards and polices are followed.

The value you’ll bring to the team:
Provides world class service while answering the Catering area phone, updating voice mails, forwarding calls appropriately, and greeting Catering customers. Provides accurate information to customer calls regarding the Catering ordering process, orders, and billing.
Establishes a caring relationship with all customers; assists the customer in planning the menu and service details for all catered events.
Demonstrates creativity for additional retail promotions, programs and events that will help increase revenue and profit; ensures customer billing and collection is timely and accurate.
Presents products and\ or plates in an attractive manner and garnishes appropriately, pays attention to details, and uses creativity.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Two years of catering experience or equivalent
May be required to obtain state specific certification
REQUIRED: • Two years of catering experience or equivalent
PREFERRED: • Culinary school graduate • Two years of experience in banquet/front of house, sales and\or catering
