MyMichigan Health, an affiliate of Michigan Medicine, the academic medical center of the University of Michigan, has an outstanding opportunity for the right breast surgeon to be a part of a well-established and growing practice. Applicant must have completed a residency program in General Surgery approved by the Accrediting Council for Graduate Medical Education or the American Osteopathic Association and an accredited fellowship in breast surgery. Suitable candidates who have completed a fellowship in surgical oncology with sub-specialty expertise in breast surgery are welcome to apply.
Certification by the American Board of Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery or equivalent board in another country which is recognized by the American Board of Surgery. Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency or fellowship training within the last five years shall be eligible for Medical Staff appointment. However, in order to remain eligible, those applicants must achieve board certification in their primary area of practice within five (5) years from the date of completion of their residency or fellowship training and maintain board certification to the extent required by the applicable specialty/subspecialty board, and satisfy recertification requirements.

MyMichigan Health is looking for a breast surgeon to add to our current team! This opportunity will provide a full spectrum of support services, including, but not limited to, a dedicated Breast Surgeon partner, Michigan Medicine breast reconstruction clinic at Medical Center Midland, dedicated pathology, interventional radiology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology teams.
The surgeon will join a team of surgical oncologists that currently comprises fellowship-trained colorectal surgeons, thoracic surgery, complex GI and HPB surgery, and endocrine surgery who will move into the new James T. and Elsa U. Pardee Cancer Wellness Center in January 2024. The team also comprises tumor registry, geneticists, nutritional services, rehabilitation, social workers, and Cancer Services of Midland, all of which will be housed in the new cancer center.
