Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: Infection Surveillance Analyst

Join MSK's Infection Prevention & Control team and make a real impact on patient safety! Use data analysis, surveillance, and reporting to prevent outbreaks and drive change at a world-renowned institution known for innovation, collaboration, and a mission-driven culture.

Role Overview

• Monitor and analyze infection prevention & control data to detect trends and prevent outbreaks.
• Conduct surveillance through chart reviews and institutional data sources.
• Manage and maintain infection control databases for reporting and audits. Clean data and create digestible visualizations for stakeholders across the institution
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (DOH, Joint Commission, NHSN).
• Investigate infectious disease exposures and coordinate post-exposure responses.
• Develop reports and present findings to hospital leadership and committees.
• Support infection control research and performance improvement initiatives.

Key Qualifications

• Experience working in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of infectious diseases, infection prevention protocols and hospital regulatory requirements
• Certified Infection Control (CIC) credentials preferred, but not required
• Experience with SAS or SQL is good to have but not required
• EPIC experience is a plus

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Problem-solving and decision-making within regulatory guidelines
• Experience with infection control databases and NHSN reporting
• Strong data display & visualization skills

Additional Information:

• Location: Onsite, 5x a week at 321 E 61st, New York, NY
• Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday with Friday
• Reporting to: Manager, Infection Prevention & Control
• Pay Range: $82,000.00-$131,200.00
