The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in conjunction with IU Health Medical Group (IUHMG), are expanding its department. The department is seeking to jointly recruit surgical pathologists subspecialized in Bone and Soft Tissue, Renal and Gastrointestinal Pathology, to join its faculty.
The individual selected will be based at the IU Health Central Pathology Laboratory (IUHPL). The pathology team serves 10 hospitals within IU Health Hospital network and Eskenazi Heath. Anatomic pathology is currently comprised of 55 pathologists.
The academic track and rank of the appointment will be determined by qualifications and level of experience.
Responsibilities:
Deliver professional diagnostic services within anatomic pathology
Provide on-call coverage and conference support with department faculty members
Actively participate in educational activities with medical students, residents and fellows

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate or Terminal degree is required. The applicant must be certified by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic pathology or anatomic and clinical pathology. Applicants must be qualified for licensure in the state of Indiana.
The IU Health Pathology Laboratory resides in a 150,000-square-foot dedicated central laboratory building in downtown Indianapolis with first-class facilities. The lab processes over 100,000 cases per year, and houses an electron microscopy laboratory, eight full-time certified pathologists’ assistants, twenty residents and eleven different fellowships.
