Assists with the implementation of the mission, vision, philosophy, and values especially as they relate to music therapy operations and services. Provides music therapy to maximize the physical, emotional and spiritual wellness of patients with the aim of enhancing patients' overall quality of life.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
High School Diploma / GED
Bachelor Degree Music (preferred)
Masters Degree in Music Therapy, preferred; additional bachelor's or Master's degree in other health-related field,preferred.
5 years clinical experience with hospital-based experience, preferred. Additional experience in guided imagery, pain management, grant writing and research, preferred
Credential: MT-BC Certification from Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT), preferred
CPR/BLS, required
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
We are expanding our program. This role will work day shifts with the occasional Saturdays for events. You can expect to play at events at La Plata and Archuleta counties, Mercy Hospital, Mercy Hospice House and hospice patient home settings.
