Job Description

Senior Administrative Assistant - Social Work Team

Join us at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center! We are seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to join our Social Work team. If you are passionate about supporting leaders and ensuring smooth operations, we want you to be part of our mission!

Role Overview:

• Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office and hospital-wide social work programming.
• Screen and triage telephone calls and provide assistance to visitors.
• Establish and maintain confidential files, logs, and records.
• Schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences as requested.
• Manage complex calendars for department leaders and staff, using independent judgment based on knowledge of priorities and resources.
• Process philanthropy budget sheets in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy
• Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, announcements, manuals, and other materials for various departmental activities.
• Prepare reports, including summaries and monthly analysis as specified by the manager.
• Manage the acquisition and distribution of office supplies for the department.
• Assist with departmental or division projects/events as requested.
• Market and outreach for hospital-wide social work programming.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.

Additional Information:

Location: Main Campus, Howard 312, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PMReporting to the Director of Social Work

Pay Range: $25.18 - $37.75/hour
