The Atlantic Health System Nurse Externship Program is for junior students obtaining their Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (preferred) or an Associate of Science degree in nursing. Our five hospitals and ambulatory sites include Morristown Medical Center, Overlook Medical Center (Summit), Chilton Medical Center (Pompton Plains), Newton Medical Center, Hackettstown Medical Center, and Atlantic Medical Group (over 450 locations). The goal of the Nurse Externship Program is to allow rising senior nursing students to learn about the role of the professional nurse, while being precepted by specially selected nurses.
