Good Samaritan University Hospital recently broke ground on its Patient Care Pavilion. This 300,000 square foot addition will be located on the northeast portion of the campus and feature a 75-bay Emergency Department, 16 high-tech replacement operating rooms and three floors of private patient rooms.
These expansion plans allow us to continue to provide the highest level of health care while accommodating the growing health care needs of our surrounding Long Island community.
GSUH offers residency training programs in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Podiatric Surgery and OB/GYN as well as fellowship training programs in Gynecologic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. We are also sponsoring institution for the PM&R residency training program at Mercy Hospital and a major clinical campus for the NYIT college of Osteopathic Medicine.

Responsibilities
- The hospitalist supports six (6) closed intensive care units including: a cardiothoracic ICU, a neuroscience ICU, a pediatric ICU, a neonatal ICU, a surgical ICU, and a medical ICU.
- Subspecialty support in all medical/surgical areas including but not limited to: endocrinology, cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, urology, interventional radiology, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, oral & maxillofacial surgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery and cardiothoracic surgery.
- The GSUH hospitalist leads an interdisciplinary team in the comprehensive care of admitted medical patients.
- The team consists of over twenty full time hospitalists and is expanding to meet the needs of our community.
- The hospital has broken ground on a new patient care pavilion that will be completed in 2025.
- There is advanced practice professional (nurse practitioner and physician assistant) support in all areas and residency programs in:
- Emergency medicine, family practice, podiatry, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.

Requirements:
Licensed to practice medicine in New York State
Board Certified or Board eligible within 3 years with training in internal medicine or family practice
New resident graduates are welcome.
BCLS and ACLS certified from American Heart Association. No online courses are accepted.
Salary Range
USD $210,000.00 - USD $330,000.00 /Yr.
