Role Purpose
In accordance with the Mission and Vision of Goldfarb School of Nursing the Undergrad Director is responsible for the day to day oversight and supervision of the program. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs. This position provides leadership to set of faculty for the either the Duncan or West Campus including all program evaluation and academic program support. In collaboration with the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs sets program class size/targets in consideration of budgeting and evaluation of the accelerated or upper division BSN program. Assures the effective development and operation of the Accelerated program.
Accountabilties/ Requirements:
Program Oversight and Review
Responsible for annual program assessment and comprehensive program reviews.
Gather and analyze data to support continuous improvement and ensure the state board annual report is complete and accurate.
Maintains current knowledge with AACN and other academic standard leaders to understand changes in the field and future trends.
Ensure undergraduate program processes and policies align with current regulatory and professional nursing standards.
Course Management and Outcomes
Oversees the assessment, revision, and implementation of individual courses and programmatic changes.
Evaluation of student course learning and maintain accurate records of evaluation and course work.
Resource Exploration and Monitoring
Collaborate with the Assistant Deans to recommend development and maintenance of program resources.
Evaluate and monitor full-time and part-time faculty in collaboration with Assistant Dean Undergraduate and Assistant Dean of Faculty.
Representation
Work to advance the College's mission and vision.
Support and demonstrate the College's values, follow policies and procedures.
Promote a positive working relationship.
Participate in committees as ex-officio, institutional activities and in program recruitment.
Support workforce development.
Recruit and mentor adjunct faculty; assists in faculty recruitment.
Student Advisement
Serve as initial point of administrative contact for student concerns or issues and provide follow-up.
Engage and collaborate with students services and academic advising to advise on student plan of study and program options.
Advise on student transfer credits.
Provide documentation on students advisement during student meetings.
Direct students to appropriate resources.
Escalate student concerns to Assistant Dean Undergraduate and/or Assistant Dean of Faculty as indicated.
Evaluate graduation progress and completion.
