Summary:
Responsible for data analysis and reporting for PCS unit productivity. Assists in comprehensive project management for PCS initiatives and projects. Develops and reports on analytics related to staffing needs and manages supplemental staffing rates and levels. Prepares ongoing reports for CNO and CFO related to program financial impact.
The Business Operations Coordinator provides vital support to the UNC Rex Patient Care Services (PCS) business operations. This role works with senior leadership to translate long term planning into annual operational plans to accomplish program initiatives. The Operations Coordinator further supports hospital operations for nursing teams through data analysis and oversight of capital and minor capital budgets. This role collaborates regularly with nursing department leaders, finance, talent acquisition, and human resources to coordinate business and people operations.
Responsibilities: 1.Responsible for data analysis and reporting for PCS unit productivity. Share reports daily with CNO, Directors, Managers. Provides insight for productivity discrepancies and collaborate with unit managers on action planning and opportunities for improvement. 2.Assists in developing a comprehensive project management process. Reviews project proposals and provides guidance and direction throughout the project timeline. Prepares presentations and coordinates meetings as needed to move projects forward. 3.Develops analytics around staffing trends including internal travelers, agency staffing, and international contract nurses. Provides recommendations for financially managing traveler program including managing length of traveler contracts and monitoring market rate trends to ensure appropriate rates for program. Prepares ongoing reports for CNO and CFO related to traveler program financial impact. 4. Works with senior leadership to translate long term planning into annual operational plans for staffing needs and/or new program initiatives. Ensures comprehensive business planning and oversight for PCS growth. 5. Prepares and coordinates distribution of staffing reports and data analytics for management. Prepares charts and diagrams showing prior, current, and projected staffing needs and costs as a basis for senior leadership decisions. 6. Assists with coordinating recruitment and retention efforts within PCS to improve retention and ensure more consistent staffing through PCS units. 7. Manages social media pages for PCS. Monitors social media activity across multiple platforms and responds/engages accordingly. Researches ongoing social media trends and makes recommendations on proactive social media marketing content. Coordinates and develops strategies to share timely news and communications across social media platforms.
