The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth

The role you’ll contribute: The Patient Care Technician/Health Unit Coordinator/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/HUC/CNA) is responsible to perform duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or Registered nurse in compliance with established process standards, structure standards and protocols of the assigned unit. The (PCT/HUC/CNA) works in cooperation with all team members in an effort to accomplish departmental goals and objectives. The (PCT/HUC/CNA) role is multi-disciplined. When assigned as a PCT, the primary function is the delivery of competent, compassionate, and cost-effective care. When assigned as a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), primary function is to perform clerical duties and surveillance of arrhythmia monitors.                                          

 

 

 

 

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

o   High school graduate or GED required.

o   Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

o   Current state CNA license for applicable state of employment Required

o   Minimum of one year healthcare nursing assistant (CNA) clinical experience

o   Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program

o   Previous nursing unit secretary or medical office experience 

o   Basic arrhythmias identification course prior to starting.
