This multi-skilled position is responsible for supporting the perioperative team in providing high quality patient care and physician service.Duties include transporting of patients and equipment, cleaning of operating rooms and ancillary areas, checking and restocking of supplies. Transports patients, supplies, specimens, blood and equipment as requested. Assists in lifting and/or transferring patients from stretcher/bed to OR table and vice versa. Assists in holding patient extremities for surgical preparations as directed. Ensures positioning devices and equipment are available in the appropriate rooms for cases. Properly handles surgical specimens, as directed.
