Summary:
Assists with the coordination of care for patients in the endoscopy department. Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment and supplies and may assist in performing invasive endoscopic procedures.
CHRISTUS Surgical Hospital?s Operating Room (OR) is a vital part of our patient care team. Our facility has 33 beds, 11 Operating Rooms, 2 Endoscopy Procedure rooms, and 3 Isolation Rooms. We provide exceptional surgical services to a diverse patient population. Our primary surgical procedure is orthopedics surgery with a particular focus on hip and knee replacement surgery using the exclusive and less invasive MAKOplasty procedure.
In addition to orthopedics surgery, we also perform general surgery, ENT, eye, podiatry, dental, plastics, bariatrics and GYN procedures. We are committed to providing the best surgical care to our patients by focusing on their needs and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Our skilled surgeons and staff deliver excellent and compassionate care, resulting in superior patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Provides various service related activities to the delivery of direct and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of the operating room prior to and during any endoscopic procedure.
- Required to rotate shifts and accept on-call assignments.
- Adept at establishing and maintaining sterile fields, ability to pull cases, capable in assisting for endoscopy procedures.
- Knowledge of sterilization concepts and methods, aseptic techniques and endoscopy instruments.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- Previous experience working in the Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred
GI Tech experience preferred
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- BLS required
- GI certification from SGNA Associates preferred
