SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Hybrid - Typically in the office on Wednesdays
Responsibleforanalyticalsupportto the full range of strategic and business planning initiatives across all of Penn State Health.Develops increasing project management capabilities and strategic focus.Mentor and be the point of contact for the Strategic Planning Analyst.Facilitate the development and maintenance of data collection, analysis and reportingoninternal dataandexternal marketandenvironmentaldatatoassistleadershipinmakingsoundbusinessdecisions. Responsible for the overall development, analysis, reporting, dissection and distribution of relevant data, sets, metricsandotherrelatedmaterial utilizingthedatabases andtoolsestablishedbyPennStateHealthforstrategicplanning and business planning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required. A degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Economics, or a Quantitative Discipline is preferred.
3 years experience in any of the following areas: financial planning & analysis, accounting, business/enterprise strategy, project management, or management consulting
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Must be organized and able to work independently
Must understand complex data systems and be able to translate data into operational efficiencies, financial plans, business plans,and strategic recommendations to Senior Leadership.
Strong communication skills, presentation skills, and proficiency in quantitative analysis is required
Proficiency in Power Point, Access, and Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, VLookups, Nested If statements, etc) Knowledge of SQL and/or SAS is preferred. Ability to query data using a variety of Business Intelligence Tools required (ie. MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerPivot)
Ability to manage multipleprojects simultaneously and work under pressure requiredAbility to adapt and respond to unexpected changes required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master degree (MHA/MBA)
Knowledge of PHC-4 Inpatient and Aggregate Claims data preferred
