Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando

A Brief Overview The Health Equity Program Manager provides project management support to the health equity team and initiative. The core responsibility is to ensure the successful execution of the health equity initiative project plan and health equity related-projects. This role is responsible for collaborating on, developing, and managing the health equity project plan. Responsibilities include: supporting the health equity director in implementing the health equity initiative, development of health equity deliverables, supporting internal and external partnerships and market requests, and building and supporting the health equity team's internal infrastructure.
What you will do
' Proactively manage detailed project plan for successful implementation and execution of the health equity initiative. This includes updating the project plan, leading project plan updates in meetings, running team meetings if/when requested, providing status updates.
In collaboration with the director, work across the health equity team to identify and delegate tasks to appropriate team members and ensure all tasks are successfully completed on multiple projects at once.
As directed by the Director, manage day to day logistics and operational needs of the health equity initiative, identifying and addressing risks that may adversely impact the initiative work and timeline.
Coordinate meeting agenda development, follow up and creation of support resources. Prioritize and complete follow-up activities related to agenda items by coordinating and communicating with team members and leadership.
Maintain accurate documentation and status of project timeline, keeping team stakeholders and executive leadership informed of project status as directed.
Prioritize and manage multiple competing projects, deadlines, and customer relationships.
Conduct observations, develop actionable plans, and implement viable solutions to problems identified. Proactively identify potential project risks and takes steps to mitigate them.
Support the health equity director with internal and external partnerships and market requests.
Support the development of an internal team infrastructure, to include building and managing databases, updating and managing intranet site, and managing document organization system.
Manage and contribute to the development of deliverables, for example presentation development
Manage multiple projects from simple to moderately complex. May be responsible for managing a subset of a larger project or program led by the health equity director
Develop qualitative and quantitative reports for leadership upon request.
Develop health equity resource collaterals as directed by the health equity director.'
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Associate's Degree with six (6) or more years of relevant experience Required or
Bachelor's Degree with four (4) or more years of relevant experience Required or
Master's Degree with two (2) or more years of relevant experience in Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or related field. Required
Proven experience managing projects, preferably in a complex organizational environment Required
Process Improvement Preferred
Experience in Health Equity & Inclusion Preferred
' Solid understanding and application of project management tools and methodologies
Familiar with process improvement and change management concepts and methodologies
Communicates and interacts effectively and professionally with diverse populations, individually or as a team member, both in verbal and written communications.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at the same time while meeting deadlines.
Has computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, and understands programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
Maintains confidentiality, uses discretion, and adheres to all corporate, legal, and regulatory guidelines.
Proficient at driving a project forward, monitoring and communicating progress, proactively and effectively communicating in terms of cost, forecast, schedule and assessment of risk/issues. Anticipates stakeholder needs, proactively keeping them informed, negotiating with them to reach consensus when priorities conflict, and tailoring the message and delivery style as needed
Proven communication and negotiation skills – oral, written, presentation, formal and informal
Ability to foresee risks and develop a comprehensive risk response plan and keep projects on track
' Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality, i.e. HIPAA
Ability to travel as needed.'
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI Preferred
CAPM - Certified Associate In Project Mgmt. Preferred
Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma Yellow Belt or other equivalent certification Preferred
Change Management Certification Preferred
