The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for developing and providing clinical pharmacy services directed to the general patient population at AdventHealth Redmond. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Present his/herself as a self-directed, independent, motivated learner guided by the residency program director (RPD) and the appropriate preceptor(s) for each learning experience.
·Provide clinical pharmacy services, including primary and consultative services, to health care providers and patients to ensure optimal drug utilization in assigned area(s). Assist in the planning and development of clinical pharmacy activities related to assigned area(s). Identify service requirements by interaction and consultation with patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists and technicians.
·Successfully develop IRB proposal and complete IRB submission for approval/exemption of major research project. Develop and submit a manuscript for major project to be determined within the first two months of residency start date..
·Present assigned topics as part of education for department and/or other department staff. Coordinate and participate in staff development programs (i.e., presents interesting cases or reviews journal articles). Serve as a resource for drug information for other healthcare workers. Provide education and training to pharmacy students, medical staff physicians and nurses, and healthcare-related professionals.
·Act as a preceptor to pharmacy students completing Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE) or Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE).
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Graduate or candidate for graduation from an ACPE accredited pharmacy degree program (or one the in process of pursuing accreditation)
·Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the NABP.
·ACLS
·BCLS - Basic Life Support
·PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
·Licensed in the state or jurisdiction in which the program is conducted within 120 days after program start date
