We are hiring for a Sterile Processing Tech at Alton Memorial Hospital. As a tech you will have an opportunity to grow and have an opportunity to learn in this field!  

• Evenings: 1300-2130
• Weekend (every 6th)/Holiday Rotation (1 a year)
• Other duties specified during interview
• Call one day a week

Central Sterile Processing Dept is charged with decontaminating and Sterilizing of all instrumentation for the Operating Room and Obstetrics. They prepare case carts by pulling the sterile supplies that are housed in the dept.  Stock misc. sterile supplies for Wound Care and Skin Nurse. 

Role Purpose

The Sterile Processing Technician performs a variety of central sterile processing functions, which include the decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of sterile surgical instrumentation to the operating room (OR) and other areas throughout the hospital. Required to maintain and control both sterile and non-sterile supplies, and identify and remedy equipment and process failures and hazards while maintaining the appropriate and complete records.
