The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for providing family-centered treatment of children and adolescents within the context of the pediatric weight management program multi-disciplinary team. The Psychologist will provide assessments and treatment services for psychological conditions co-occurring with weigh-related conditions, including depression, anxiety, other mood disorders, disordered eating behaviors (such as binge eating disorder and ARFID), other eating/ feeding disorders, ADHD, learning disorders, and autism spectrum disorder. The Psychologist will provide consultation and guidance for behaviors and conditions that may be contributing to weight conditions, as well as make referrals to other mental health providers when needed. The position may include supervision for master's level mental health clinicians working within the same team. This position will work within the WakeMed Children's subspecialty services, with support from the Mental Health and Well-Being service line. This position understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of WakeMed Children's patients and families.
The primary physical location for this position is Raleigh Medical Park (200 Sunnybrook Road), though the psychologist may also see patients in satellite locations, including Apex, Clayton, and North Raleigh.
