The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a Sports Medicine Fellowship Trained physician to join our team of faculty as we expand our practice. This position involves outpatient care alongside the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation faculty within the Sports Medicine and Hand and Upper Extremity teams. This position will include management of patients with a variety of musculoskeletal disorders with a focus on the upper extremity and will have a significant emphasis on ultrasound guided procedures. This position will also have sports team coverage expectations.
This is an exciting opportunity for an academic-oriented physician with a variety of clinical interests. Clinical opportunities within the outpatient practice are broad, and can be developed around the candidate's interests, with possibilities for MSK, sports medicine, hand and upper extremity, orthobiologics, ultrasound, EMG, and other areas. This position also offers ample opportunities to participate in research and medical education.
This is a full-time position being offered at the tenure or clinical track level dependent upon the qualifications and goals of the individual.

Education Requirements:
The candidate must hold an MD, DO or equivalent degree.
The candidate must have completed a residency program in Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, PM&R, or Internal Medicine.
The candidate must have graduated from an ACGME accredited Sports Medicine fellowship program.
Required Qualifications:
The candidate must be eligible for Iowa medical licensure

Experience in musculoskeletal ultrasound (diagnostic and interventional)

Certifications:
The candidate must be Board-certified or Board-eligible in both the physician’s primary specialty and Sports Medicine
