OverviewThe Patient Access Educator/Quality Specialist is accountable to designated management staff throughout the hospital system to provide training for new employees, refresher courses for existing staff, and ongoing training to meet goals developed by both employees and Management. Develops computerized on-line modules for education. Monitors the volume and accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information at the time of registration. Incorporates a strong emphasis on customer service and quality in educational offerings. Serves as a resource to IT in the development of profiles to maximize the accuracy of claims submissions and analyze the data collected during the registration process.
