What are the typical hours on the job? The hours of operation for the for this position are Thursday & Friday, 8:20am-4:40pm. Your primary schedule will be during those hours, with periodic need to work outside your schedule to serve our patients. What does an Admissions Coordinator do? Under the direction of the Manager, Operations and Compliance, this position coordinates the day-to-day rounding schedule and answers pages for Meritas Health Hospitalists to maximize physician productivity and continuity of care. What does a typical day on the job look like? Answers pages timely and distributes physician workload equally. Coordinates patient transfers and directs admissions from other hospitals and physicians. Pulls together ambulatory records needed by physician for patient admission. Anticipates patient pre-surgery testing needs for following day to ensure patient follow-up after surgery and to maintain continuity of care. Coordinates ISO program requirements for timely patient follow up. Creates weekly call pager schedule and updates AMNION as call schedule changes occur. Contributes to the development of improved efficiency and productivity of the department clinical/administrative functions. Provides other administrative support to physicians as needed and performs other duties as assigned. What are the requirements for the job? High school diploma or equivalent 3 years' experience in physician office setting preferred Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, EMR experience preferred, familiar with medical terminology Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently within short deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills characterized Patient-centered mindset More Possibilities: As the largest network of providers in the Northland, we can offer you more opportunities to grow.
