Be a collaborative liaison between the EMS/Fire community, the medical director, and Enterprise. The EMS Coordinator will participate in appropriate committees and initiatives in EMS/Fire communities to ensure quality patient care across the continuum. Responsible for the development, coordination, and teaching of EMS courses and continuing education programs which meet established state and national standards.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
5 years of related experience in emergency medical services (EMS), preferably in both: field (911 ambulance and/or fire agency) and in hospital.
3 years experience in instructing students by using adult learning principles and instructional methodologies. Prefer experience in developing education programs.
Knowledge of the EMS, Law Enforcement and Fire Department agencies in service area.
Demonstrated experience analyzing raw data, finding trends, and preparing statistical reports.
Knowledge and experience in medical/trauma terminology, disease conditions, pharmacology, cardiology, treatment modalities, therapeutic testing and interventions.
Knowledge and experience in computer instructional technology and Microsoft Office Professional software.
High school diploma or GED, required
Current Utah Healthcare License and/or Paramedic certification, required
Basic Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA BLS CPR) within one year of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA ACLS) within one year of hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Certification (AHA PALS) within one year of hire.
Physical Requirements: Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)

?The Emergency Department at Holy Cross Hospital - Mountain Point has a welcoming culture that focuses on teamwork andsynergy. We are a level III trauma facility with 14 beds, and a current4:1 nurse to patient ratio. We see a diverse mix of all ages that allows us to utilize our holistic nursing skills through all the care we give. We service a diverse community of 9 municipalities and 10 EMS agencies. We see an average of 41 patients per day with a pediatric population of 24%. EMS accounts for 13% of our overall visits. The success of this department relies onthe partnership and communication with every other department in this hospital.
