The Simulation Assistant performs pre/post setup functions within assigned educational environment(s) and defined equipment. Ensures all equipment and work areas are clean and in proper working order. Responsible for administering supplies ready by inventory stock, coordination of placing orders and verifying receipt. Receives assistance in the completion of more complex assignments from Simulation Specialist(s) and/or supervisor.
What are the Primary Duties & Responsibilities?
Cleans, setup and maintains simulation educational working environment(s), equipment and supplies according to pre-course simulation setup policy and procedures.
Conducts day-to-day supply inventories and reconciliations. Ensures simulation education working environment(s) have adequate inventory and supplies available. Maintains accurate inventory record log of equipment including both capital and consumable inventory. Coordinates supply orders including receiving and stocking.
Cleans basic and sometimes complex training equipment such as Human Patient Simulators and part Task trainers ensuring ready for use and optimal performance.
May participate in simulation education activities including role playing lead by instructor.
Assists with operating and loading basic simulation computer programs to prepare learners for training.
Qualifications
Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED preferred
One (1) year of work experience in environmental or equipment services or related field required
One (1) year of experience in a simulation learning environment in healthcare preferred
Ability to convey and/or receive written/verbal information to/from various audiences in different formats
Ability to demonstrate time management and priority setting skills
Ability to use software applications and operate technological devices (e.g., computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.)
