Job Description
Materials Manager | Perioperative Services | NYC
Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a highly skilled Operating Room (OR) Materials Manager with expertise in advanced data analytics to optimize surgical inventory, enhance supply chain efficiency, and drive cost-effective procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare supply chain management, with strong experience in data-driven decision-making, predictive analytics, and process automation.
Role Overview:
Oversee and manage the Main Campus Perioperative Services materials management operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels and seamless clinical operations.
Utilize advanced analytics tools to forecast demand, identify cost-saving opportunities, and reduce waste.
Collaborate with clinical teams, OR supports team, sourcing, corporate procurement, and Supply Chain informatics to streamline workflows.
Leverage, optimize, and develop data visualization dashboards to monitor supply utilization and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards related to Perioperative Services materials management.
Key Qualifications:
- Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and performance management of direct reports.
- Clear and professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional groups including clinical staff and supply chain teams
- Resilience and a solution-oriented mentality to overcome operational challenges.
- Strong time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities successfully.
- Ability to handle complex logistics while ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
Core Skills: .
Experience in OR materials management within a hospital or surgical setting preferred
Highly proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive strategic decisions.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities to coordinate cross-functional teams.
