Overview
Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Development, the Donor Relations Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing donor engagement and retention. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive stewardship plan for major donors, loyal donors, and planned giving donors. The coordinator will oversee the Celebrate Excellent Care program, which focuses on grateful patient engagement and physician involvement. Additionally, this role includes soliciting leadership 1916 gifts and cultivating corporate sponsorships within the community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for philanthropy and a commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with donors.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive stewardship strategies for major donors, 1916 donors, grateful patients, loyal donors, corporate sponsors, and planned giving donors.
Create customized stewardship plans for donors who contribute $10,000 or more, collaborating with major gift officers for effective implementation.
Produce tailored donor impact reports for each major donor, along with general impact reports for all Beebe supporters.
Oversee the management of donor recognition walls, the Hall of Honor, and signage across all health campuses, ensuring timely completion in collaboration with the Executive Assistant.
Coordinate the Celebrate Excellent Care program, focusing on stewarding grateful patients through shared stories, donor retention, team recognition, and clinician engagement.
Strengthen community relations with corporations, businesses, and vendors to secure ongoing support for Beebe.
Partner with the Events Coordinator to identify and solicit new sponsorship opportunities, while actively participating in community and chamber events.
Maintain a donor portfolio of 1916 prospects, actively soliciting new donors and conducting weekly donor visits within the hospital.
Demonstrate a high level of motivation and a strong work ethic, aligning with the Foundation's mission and contributing to team efforts.
Support the fundraising mission of the Foundation through event attendance, solicitation of individual gifts and corporate sponsorships, and ongoing donor stewardship.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Development and Foundation President.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years of fundraising experience, with a proven track record of success.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising database software, preferably Raiser's Edge.
Demonstrates an exemplary work ethic, high energy, and consistent follow-through.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
Highly organized and able to work independently, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and supporters of Beebe.
Excellent public speaking skills, comfortable presenting to various groups and stakeholders.

Founded in 1916 by two physician brothers, Drs. James Beebe and Richard C. Beebe, the medical center in Lewes is a 210-licensed-bed, not-for-profit seaside community hospital. Beebe's specialized service lines include cardiac and vascular, surgical services, oncology, women's health, and orthopaedic services. With a mission to serve the community, Beebe also offers many free screenings and outreach programs through its Population Health Department; and advanced medical care for those who are recuperating at home through Beebe Home Care Services.

Beebe's Medical Staff has grown tremendously since the early 1990s. Employed physicians through Beebe Medical Group and our affiliated physicians on Beebe's Medical Staff now serve patients from Milford to Millville in specialties including cardiac surgery, dermatology, endocrinology, family practice, gastroenterology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatric neurology, and surgical oncology.
