Summary
The Department of Public and Allied Health at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Bowling Green, Ohio is seeking applicants for a 9-month tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We are seeking an ambitious individual to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in our established baccalaureate programs in Public and Allied Health and our Master of Health Services Administration program. This is an exciting time of growth and new opportunities at BGSU.
The Department of Public and Allied Health at BGSU is a student-centered unit offering in-person, online, and hybrid degree programs in public health, health science, allied health, food and nutrition, healthcare administration, medical lab sciences, respiratory care, and pre-pharmacy. The Department resides within the College of Health and Human Services along with Gerontology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, and Communication Sciences and Disorders, Physical Therapy, and Nursing. We provide a superior academic curriculum through nationally recognized innovative programs, rigorous practical experiences, and strong professional partnerships. Through these experiences, we seek to promote and enhance the well- being and safety of people and their communities.

Essential Functions
The selected candidate, through teaching, research, and service, will help grow our established master’s and undergraduate programs in Healthcare Administration and Public Health with concentrations in Environmental Health and Health Promotion. Teaching responsibilities may include courses in undergraduate and/or graduate healthcare administration, epidemiology, population health, health policy, research methods, global health, and emerging infectious diseases. Candidates will be expected to establish a strong record of scholarship, participate on academic committees, advise undergraduate students, and provide service through membership on university committees and engagement with professional societies.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates should hold a PhD or DrPH or expect to have an earned doctorate by the start of employment. Working professionals with multiple years of experience in healthcare administration and/or public health are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have demonstrated potential for research and teaching excellence.
Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidates will have expertise in epidemiology, public health, infectious diseases, global health, or health services administration and experience with online teaching. An earned MPH with concentration in Epidemiology, work experience in public health and/or healthcare, and certifications in health education and/or environmental health are also preferred.
