Coordinates all processes, support, communication and documentation involved in transferring patients from one facility to another facility, as well as support physician consults. Transfer Coordinators also required to recognize and uphold all regulatory requirements, while simultaneously updating key stakeholders of timelines. Accurately enters all required data into EPIC database. Coordinates with Flight for Life for patient transports.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
High School Diploma/GED required
Bachelor Degree preferred
One to two years of direct clinical experience in Emergency Department/Critical Care (such as Ciritical Care Tech EMT-B etc.), or full time direct administrative healthcare experience (such as Nursing Unit Secretary or Patient Access Representative), or Transfer Center experience
Certified Heatlhcare Access Associate (CHAA) sucessfully completed within 18 months of employment. Certification must be obtained while employed.
Physical Requirements Sedentary work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10 lbs. force occasionally

Flight For Life Colorado provides critical care transport with five helicopters, three ambulances and three airplanes operating out of the Denver metro area, Summit County, Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Durango.
Equipped with the industry's leading technology and an experienced team, Flight For Life Colorado transports patients across several states in the Rocky Mountain Region. We also assist search and rescue agencies with specialized services, including aerial search support and our Avalanche Deployment Program.
