Overview
Beebe Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role provides essential leadership in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
The Assistant Nurse Manager assists in planning, organizing, and implementing ICU services while contributing to fiscal management, performance improvement initiatives, and personnel processes. This role requires effective communication, decision-making, and the ability to manage change in a fast-paced critical care environment. The Assistant Nurse Manager also collaborates across departments to enhance patient outcomes and serves as bench strength for the Nurse Manager position.
Responsibilities
Assists the Nurse Manager in assessment, skill proficiency evaluation, equipment and supply management, patient satisfaction initiatives, staffing, and scheduling.
Supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing the unit.
Assists with the management of personnel processes, including but not limited to hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Participates in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
Ensures compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
Effectively communicates information to staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
Assists the Nurse Manager in making timely decisions and managing change processes.
Collaborates with all departments as part of the management team.
Utilizes a personal cell phone for business purposes.
Qualifications
Skills
Experience working as an RN in a critical care environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and team members.
Ability to manage crisis situations effectively.
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
Proficiency in CPR

Credentials
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Magnet Recognition preferred).
OR RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program + Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Active pursuit of a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) if not already possessing a BSN.
