We are looking for individuals passionate about data who enjoy uncovering hidden patterns and pulling together disparate data sources. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing data, developing, and maintaining rules around data movement to ensure data integrity and efficiency. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data management principles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Work with various health plan quality data sources to generate insights to positively impact our members.
Gather and document data requirements from customers. Examine and translate requirements into technical specifications, processes, and workflows.
Examine business requirements and source systems to design and develop solutions using a variety of toolsets. Produce the deliverables requested utilizing the most appropriate analytic tools while incorporating process efficiencies.
Extract, transform, and load basic data into a database as required, utilizing the most appropriate tool.
Produce relevant, standard, or custom information (reports, dashboards, charts, graphs, and tables) from various data sources by querying data and generating the associated output. Distribute and disseminate reports to applicable agencies, researchers, management, and other customers.
Examine and validate output and metrics to ensure data quality, reliability, and integrity.
Document project/work assignments to include all needed technical documentation, such as source-to-target mappings, data sources, definitions, methodologies, contact information, output requirements, or other information to ensure continuity of the process.
Interpret basic data and associated deliverables (reports, dashboards, interactive reporting, charts, graphs, and tables) in plain business language for executive & clinical staff. Effectively summarize information and create innate/digestible information by selecting visualizations that are fit for purpose.
Create and maintain documentation for processes, methodologies, and analyses
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, Clinical or other similar degree or equivalent experience required.
Master's degree preferred.
Proficient in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
Excellent analytic skills, data manipulation, and troubleshooting.
Excellent written communication skills.
Ability to collect, maintain, and examine basic data.
Ability to generate basic reports and documentation.
Ability to work exclusively and as part of cross-functional teams.
Ability to produce data in a clear and understandable manner, meeting user requirements.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, ect.).
Great to have-proficiency in SSMS, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI workspace management.
Great to have-experience and subject matter knowledge of medical claims, pharmacy claims, provider data, case management data, enrollment data, and/or medical billing coding systems.

Blow us away-experience with statistical analysis, Health Plan Quality Data, HEDIS datasets, Medicare STARS programs, and Pay-for-Quality Medicaid programs.
SALARY The pay range for this position is $25.01/hour (entry-level qualifications) $42.11/hour (highly experienced) The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate?s specific qualifications and prior experience.
